Motor Gas Separator
The Tempress gas separator incorporates a turbine-powered rotary drum centrifuge to bypass gas above a PDM motor. The separation provided is over 99.5% efficient. Gas-free fluid flow is ported through the motor. Bypassing the gas allows operation of the motor at the design fluid flow rate while pumping nitrogen at the rates required to ensure circulation in a low-pressure well.
These tools are available in 2-7/8", 2-1/8" and 1-11/16" diameters.

Application Software
Tempress provides a coiled tubing well circulation model that determines the gas and water bypass rates above the motor. The model is used to size a replaceable port in the separator in order to optimize fluid rate to the motor. The model also provides recommendations for fluid and gas rates for well cleaning in both the horizontal and vertical sections.
